Fourteen down; One to go...

Adrian and Deborah hung out at the Ride for Mom, telling everyone about the upcoming White Mountain Climb September 1-3. This is the last 14er to summit for the Climb for a Cure team. Anyone can join us on this climb because it is a fire road the entire way. White Mountain is the last 14er for Climb for a Cure! We urge you to create your own fundraising page and join us in the fight against cancer.

__________________________

In 2008, Adrian Crane and Deborah Steinberg set a goal climb all of California's peaks over 14,000 ft. to raise funds for STOP CANCER's mission of supporting early cancer research. For each mountain, they dedicate the summit to a cancer victim. Doing so honors the victim's battle with the disease and motivate them up each mountain. "Everyone's life has been touched by Cancer, and we hope with all your help, someday there will be a cure!"

To date, Deborah and Adrian have summitted fourteen of the fifteen 14ers: Shasta (Feb.2008, Aug 2010), Sill (Aug 2008, Aug 2010), Middle Palisades (Sept 2008), Whitney and Muir (Nov. 2008), Langley (Mar. 2009), North Palisades and Polemoneum (July 2009), Tyndall (May 2010), Thunderbolt and Starlight (July 2010), Mt. Williamson (May, 2011) and Mt. Russell and Split Mountain (August, 2011).

"Along the way, although we have had much success, we have also had navigational errors, bad weather, poor snow conditions, and overly technical chosen routes. These setbacks and successes have mirrored the disappointments and jubilation of those who have had to battle cancer.  Despite the difficulty of our climbs, it was a good feeling that hopefully our climb may make a difference in the lives of others. If you wish to help our goal of raising $14,000 for cancer research via STOP CANCER, you may make a donation in honor or memory of someone by using this link: Thanks for all the love and prayers to make this a successful climb.
