Join us in supporting end-of-life care for those in our community. This event is a benefit for Hospice at The Chaplaincy which has been serving our community since 1981. In 2012 alone, The Chaplaincy cared for 770 patients and their families.
Hospice is a patient centered, family oriented approach to care for anyone in the advanced stages of a life-limiting illness. The Chaplaincy cares for people of all ages with a variety of life-limiting conditions such as cancer, birth defects, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer's, liver disease, AIDS and neurological diseases. By combining careful pain and symptom management with emotional and spiritual support, hospice enables patients to live out the remainder of their lives in comfort and dignity, surrounded by those they love.
The Chaplaincy is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and does not turn anyone from services due to inablility to pay. We rely on funding from our community, program fees, and grants to sustain our work.
By joining us in the Miles for Memories Hospice River Run or making a donation to our hospice program, you are helping to ensure that impeccable spiritual, emotional, and physical care is available to those in our community who are facing a terminal diagnosis.
Thank you for your support of this work!
