Capoeira . . . ever since it found me my life changed.

Capoeira is my joy, my struggle, my means of working through internal and external pressures, it is rhythm that creates my movement, it is the undying voices of those who fought for their liberation during times of colonial oppression in harmony with the ring of the berimbau which moves me, it is the dynamic, playful and sincere relationships I have developed with my peers and teachers, it is more than a means for communal expression, it is communion and health
