In January 2024, our dear Hillary was informed of having some type of cancer but there were many unknown information at the time. What kind of cancer? How advanced was it? Where has it progressed to? How did it form? What’s the next steps? There were numerous doctor’s visits scheduled too far apart and didn’t answer these questions. Thankfully, a better team of experts in the field were recommended and they were able to provide the care, knowledge and attention she needed. The best advice we were given, was to take it one day at a time. Hillary’s strength is exemplary. She went through many rounds of chemo, had multiple visits to the hospital, underwent long surgery… and is now Cancer Free!!! After many months, tears and questions, we are so happy to celebrate Hillary being Cancer Free! 

There’s still so much left to research and learn in order to help others out there who are afflicted by this terrible thing. We have much to learn, but together we can make a difference. This year, in support of our dear Hillary and to assist in spreading awareness about Ovarian Cancer, we will be running The Annual Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K Cancer Schlep.  The NYC 5K Cancer Schlep helps further breast, ovarian & prostate cancer awareness, research and treatment supporting a BRCA multi-disciplinary clinic in Israel. The 5K Cancer Schlep also supports research studies investigating breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers and BRCA mutation carriers.

We would love for you to join us there and run together, but in the event you cannot make it and would still like to support us and this great cause, please consider donating to our fundraiser!
