The Brooklyn Autism Center (BAC)is a private, non-profit school dedicated to providing high-quality education to individuals ages 5 to 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).BAC utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) implemented within a 1:1 student to teacher ratio. We provide highly individualized educational plans which strive to increase meaningful skills and reduce the likelihood of interfering behaviors.
BAC is dedicated to providing quality comprehensive educational programming that supports our students in achieving their fullest potential. We strive to teach skills that lead to integrating our students into their community so they will be able to lead independent and meaningful lives. We aim to create a community of acceptance, a society that understands the challenges faced by individuals with autism and one that embraces diversity.
Autism is on the rise. The most recent studies indicate that approximately 1 in every 68 children is diagnosed annually, joining the 1.7 million American families currently affected by autism. Autism has become the most rapidly growing developmental disability, and is now more common than Down’s syndrome, childhood diabetes, and juvenile cancer combined. Most significantly, most children with autism require specialized education. Every child with autism faces unique challenges and every family affected by autism needs reliable support and expert guidance. Support the Brooklyn Autism Center and help children with autism reach their maximum potential.
We encourage you to support the Brooklyn Autism Center by engaging your community through individual efforts, fundraising online or signing up for the BAC Virtual Run/Walk!
