Cycling out on the open road and feeling the wind on your face is something most of us take for granted. We can do this and many other activities as part of everyday life. Not so for a blind person. The Blind Stoker's Club partners sighted "Captains" on the front and a visually impaired "Stoker" on the back of a tandem bicycle--thus allowing the visually impaired to experience the pleasures of bicycling. The Blind Stoker's Club has one fund-raiser each year, the Cycling For Sight two day bicycling event. This fund-raiser not only allows us to provide club related benefits to many visually impaired cyclists, but also to help support the San Diego Center for the Blind.
Keep your motor running, get out on the highway! Keep up the good work.
