My Story:

Hello friends and family, and welcome to my fundraising page!

Last year I was able to hear from my church friends about this incredible mission trip they went on to Estonia. My heart was filled by their story and an urge to experience what God is doing around the world. I have never been on a mission trip, let alone an international one, though I have always felt a pull to experience it and see what God is doing around the world head on. Through a lot of prayerful consideration and asking the Lord what my part in His plan looked like, I have made the exciting decision to go on the 2024 mission trip to Estonia.

Estonia is a small country located in northern Europe between Finland and Russia. Formally a soviet country, being ruled by foreign powers for most of its history, they have only gained their freedom and independence as late as 1991, and therefore the Estonian people have not known freedom for long. There are thousands of young people seeking to express their new freedom and find purpose and meaning. We know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and there are many in Estonia who simply need to be shown the joy of a life free in Christ Jesus.

This year I will be assisting a local church that runs a youth soccer camp ministry. This is their 3rd year doing this kind of outreach, and as soccer (or “football”) is a huge part of the Estonian culture, the leaders of the church are well equipped (and I have heard very skilled!) and have made this 5 day camp affordable for youth to attend, being able to play soccer and also be given the opportunity to learn about Christ. My role at this camp is not to be a leader or a teacher but simply to help aid the church where they need and be a servant of Christ in this growing outreach.

I have an amazing group of people from my home church, Chino Valley Community Church, who will also be attending. They are people I love and trust and I am so excited to share this experience with them. I ask for your partnership in prayer for the team as we get ready for the trip, and especially during the mission itself. Your prayers for health, safety, guidance, and the ability to make a positive impact will be greatly appreciated.

And lastly I ask, if you can, for your financial support. It can be expensive to pay for travel, hotel, and transportation. Each of us have been asked to raise $2,900 for the trip. Will you prayerfully consider giving $100 or some other amount (any amount will help!!) to support me and the 2024 Estonia mission team? With your help we can reach (and exceed) our goal to see our team fully funded and maybe even raise enough to support next year’s team as well!
