We're serving others in Kenya! Learn More

Dear Friends and Family,

I wanted to share some exciting news with you! Eastside Christian Church has planned a global compassion trip for this coming summer and I will be serving as part of the team! I will be traveling to Kenya on June 19 where we will be installing solar panels for a clinic. I felt a strong desire to be a part of this trip because God has done so much for me and my family. My prayer is that I can contribute to our efforts by Sharing my story and Gods love and forgiveness. I feel blessed to have this incredible opportunity to help others and know there is a lot of work ahead as we begin to prepare. I could use your help! To those who don’t know me I have been sober for over six years and in that time God continued to bless me. I never dreamed I would have an opportunity like this to serve and travel. OI often break down at night before sleep thinking how awesome Gods love and grace are. Thank you for considering to support Gods work through this trip.

First, I would be honored if you would pray for us…for preparation, for our journey, our ministry and for the spiritual battles surely ahead. Secondly, I'd like to know if you would contribute to the work we are doing by covering part of the cost of the trip.

Each team member has been entrusted with raising an equal share of the total cost to send us. The amount I must personally raise is 2995.00 and it is due by June 16th I believe. If you wish to partner with me in this ministry please click on the “GIVE NOW” button to donate. (There is an option to cover the cost of the credit card fee that you can opt out of if you prefer.) Or if you prefer to give a check or cash donation you can make your check payable to “Eastside Christian Church” and note my name and "Kenya-Kargi 2019" in the memo line and mail/bring it to the address below. Contributions to our project are tax-deductible. You're very important to me. Thank you for considering being a part of my team. If you have any questions I’d love the opportunity to tell you more so just call, text or email me! I will do my best to post updates and document the journey. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

-Jason Condiff

Hi Jason, this is the cash from Dolores Boyce, a member of the Park Rapids Church of Christ (it is possible this is part of the remainder of the resources of the Perham Church of Christ which Dolores has been dispersing, but I don't know that for sure). Anyway I thought it would be easiest to just use my credit card to donate the money. --Scott

I talked with the team leader for our mission last night and got a lot of info. We will be flying in to Nairobi and helping there for a few days and then flying to Kargi to install solar panels at a clinic. We will definitely be roughing it in Kargi! I am very excited as things move closer. I have my vaccinations scheduled for April and am constantly looking for all the things that I will need for the trip and trying to find the best prices. Travel is expensive. Thank you all for your support! Have an awesome day!

Thank you so much for your support! I am very blessed and humbled and excited for this opportunity to serve. I am in awe of all the things that God has blessed me and my family with. My life was very different 6 years ago. I was newly sober, I was trying to connect with my wife who I had been separated from, I was trying to figure out how to be a better father. I was trying to find good employment after completely messing up my work history through years of bad choices and addiction. Through my first few months of sobriety my wife had left and I lived with my parents who had been caring for my children for several years. I was completely broke down to the point that all that was left was God and me. What a wonderful experience! When everything else had fallen away God met me there and had been there the whole time. I was to distracted by every other thing that I didn’t see Him there. And so I saw Him and He embraced me in my pain and brokenness. It went this way for a little while and then God started putting things in front of me to do. I attended the Father Project in Park Rapids and met Joe Johnson. Helped me see that God wants all fathers to strive to be the kind of father He is. I was miraculously reunited with my wife who had no reason to want to be with me other than love. My wife our family was blessed to get a house from the HRA and I found employment through one of the Father Projects programs. My children were able to come and live with us. A few months later God provided me with a new job training to be an avionics technician. A year or so later Liz’s oldest son with autism was able to come live with us. And the blessings have not stopped. Although there have been many huge challenges along the way God is blessing us in so many ways. I pray that those who read this to the end will consider helping support another of God’s blessings in my life. I always wanted to do something like this and never dreamed it possible until God started opening doors. Thanks you all so much. And if you can’t support financially please support me through prayer. Thank you Thank you Thank you. God is good!
