This is my 4th Annual Miles for Midwives.  As a newly licensed midwife, I know so well how important this type of care is. Midwives are invaluable, they reduce maternal mortality, the empower birthing people, and they are basically the best. The 17th Annual Miles for Midwives 5K Fun-Run and Birth Fair is a fundraiser that brings together the birth and midwifery community, runners, families and midwifery supporters for a day to recognize and celebrate the contribution of midwives in New York City and the families they serve.

Come run, walk, cheer, or simply enjoy the birth fair! Bring the whole family - kids, strollers, and dogs encouraged!

Miles for Midwives creates a physical space to reconnect as a community, as well as a day to honor ourselves, as hardworking midwives and hardworking families. All proceeds go towards NYC Midwives.

NYC Midwives is an affiliate organization of the New York State Association of Licensed Midwives (NYSALM), the ACNM (American College of Nurse-Midwives) state affiliate. NYC Midwives practice an ancient tradition in modern times. The role of midwives has expanded over time to now include not only care of the reproductive age woman but also of women throughout their lives.
