Changing worlds with photography.
ABOFRA Foundation, Ghana - Photographer Dallas Raines
It’s easy to forget the power that a single individual has to make a difference in the lives of others.
This organization is a wonderful opportunity to do just that, to help children build for a better future and foster a genuine sense of global community.
With your support, I look forward to working with Abofra Foundation to create imagery to help their story reach the eyes and hearts of others.

The Organization: Abofra Foundation is a registered (CG000492016) local non-profit organization in Ghana seeking to improve the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable and destitute children. The idea of Abofra Foundation was earlier discussed in 2013 with family and friends, activities began in 2015 and officially registered and established on January, 2016 by our founder, Kwasi Ampadu and team.
The name Abofra means a child in the Akan (Twi) language in Ghana. The reason for the choice of name is that, children are the hope and future leaders of every town, community, country or nation. So the well-being of children is of our great concern.
We believe every child deserves a chance to life.
Our Mission
To promote holistic transformation of deprived children in Ghana through Free Computer Education and with Community Outreach Project such as child disability care, sanitation, education, food donation and more.
Our Vision
Every child in Ghana must have the opportunity to learn and have at least a basic computer skill. At Abofra Foundation, we believe computer education should be a core part of the Ghanaian child.
Empowering deprived children in communities in Ghana. By providing full range of charitable, human service, educational, community development activities such as child disability care, sanitation, education, food donation and more.
Our Programs:
Every year, our photographers and videographers donate hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of their time to document the work of grassroots initiatives that are making a real change in this world where it is most needed. By capturing, honouring and witnessing humanity at its best, we are not only inspiring many, but we are forging new narratives of what is and what is possible.
You can help by supporting our photographers and videographers (See the side bar to the right to see fundraisers for our most recent recruits).
Each of our official photographers/videographers is assigned a GroupRev fundraising page by PWB upon acceptance. These pages are a privilege we offer that are intended to make our programs accessible to all and enable our volunteer photographers/videographers to raise their program fees and subsidize or cover these necessary project-related expenses:
- Airfare
- Visa's
- Vaccinations
- Health Insurance
- Travel Insurance
The following expenses are the sole responsibility of the photographer/videographer:
- Privately arranged travel / Equipment & Equipment Insurance / Software / Extra Baggage Fees / Donation perks / Clothing / Postage/Postcard / Prints / Etc.
Photographers Without Borders® (PWB) envisions a world where we all put ourselves in each others' shoes and work together. All donations are calculated in US Dollars and are tax-deductible for Americans and Canadians with US income.

Any overage amounts raised on GroupRev will be donated with the photographers direction, 100% to the Organization, 100% to PWB or split 50/50, between the photographer's/videographer's assigned cause and PWB, which is also a volunteer-run organization.
