I have chosen RMHCNYM at this time because I have personally seen how the program helps people in need. I have been a volunteer at the house for about 1 year and am now on the advisory board. During this time I have met families from around the world who would have had nowhere to stay while one of their children was being treated in a NY Hospital. I met people from various US states, from Central America and Italy. Their children needed the specialized medical treatments available in our area and they ranged in age for pre-mature newborn twins to 21 years old.
RMHCNYM provides a welcoming, comfortable place for the family and even the patient as he/she recovers.
