2017 Tour de Force Memorial Ride

Boston to NYC to raise funds for those left behind Learn More

Hi, my name is Tech. Bob Ferretti of the Greenwich Police Firearms Unit. Each year, approximately 250 riders consisting of law enforcement officers and friends from around the country (myself included) embark on bicycles on a four-day, 280-mile trek along the East Coast. Our non-profit charitable organization is called the 9/11 “Tour de Force” Memorial Bike Ride. It was started in 2002 as a memorial to the fallen NYPD, NYFD and civilians who gave their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Monies raised by sponsoring riders go to the families of Police Officers killed in the line of duty and unfortunately Law Enforcement Officers are under attack more and more each day.

This is my 13th year riding for the Tour De Force and it gets better and more challenging every year. This year we will start in Boston, Mass and travel down the north east ending at the Freedom Tower in NYC.

I truly enjoy riding in the “Tour de Force”. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment and it is the very least I can do for a family of a fallen officer. All riders are required to raise money, so I am asking you once again to donate to this worthy cause.
