We will be returning to sponsor the 15th annual World AIDS Marathon in Kisumu, Kenya + 4 orphan dinner dances for 800 - 1,000 Kenyan orphans + providing medical care + two days of activities for special needs kids: a painting class taught by Kenyan artists and a concert. Since 2006 we have sponsored 41 orphan dinner dances for 11,242 Kenyan orphans and provided medical care, oftentimes lifesaving for 2,711 orphans.

More recently, the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation has been writing videos: promoting Kenya as a tourist destination and ending the COVID-19 pandemic. A story of everything that Kisumu, Kenya has to offer: it’s animals, artists, dancers and singers + its vibrant fishing economy bordering Lake Victoria and Kenya’s incomparable runners. I'm 69, HIV+ and a brain cancer survivor. 6 weeks after taking my 2nd COVID-19 vaccine I ran my fastest marathon (right) in the past 20 months. The video is also a plea for America to share its vaccine with poorer countries. 30 presenters from diverse backgrounds share powerful messages to end this global pandemic.

We have never stopped returning to Kenya in spite of threats from political violence, acts of terror, Ebola and post-election / inauguration day. Our new African partners, Athletics Kenya, has done a remarkable job organizing the last three World AIDS Marathons and we look forward to working with them again.

We need to raise $18,000 - $25,000 to provide $3,000 - $5,000 prize money. This will cover our travel expenses, sending out sponsorship packages, sponsoring orphan dinner dances and providing medicine, provide running bibs, event t-shirts, certificates and medals, and sending out post event t-shirts, Journey of Hope books, certificates and thank you notes to sponsors.

On July 23, 2017, at age 65 I finally qualified to run the 2018 Boston Marathon. I’ve been told it was the worst weather in the marathon’s 132 years. It wasn’t a fast marathon time for me as we were running into 30 mile per hour headwinds and a torrential downpour, but I did finish in 04:48:09 and I was just thrilled to have finished. I did run seven marathons in the past 24 months and if any race directors would like to invite my wife and me to run their marathon, kindly write me.

According to the Internet, there are no other marathon runners running marathons who are living with HIV and brain cancer. Please join my marathon-running-loving wife Jodi and me in raising awareness to others living with HIV and cancer that just because you are living with so called fatal illnesses does not mean you cannot help others by leading an upbeat, healthy lifestyle. We do need to raise close to $25,000 so we can return to Kenya in 2022 to sponsor the 16^th annual World AIDS Marathon + orphan dinner dances, so please consider partnering with the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation to help the plight of orphans in Kenya.

Kenyans only pay $1 to participate in the World AIDS Marathon and they may purchase a World AIDS Marathon sleeveless shirt for another $1 and there will be approximately 50 cash prizes given out totaling between $3,000 - $5,000 so the prize money will help many families. Non-Kenyans pay $160 but they are invited to a Meet & Greet Dinner + 4 orphan dinner dances + two days of Events for special needs kids: a painting lesson and concert + they receive a free event t-shirt.

● $200: A Rock Star: two post Event t-shirts + your name or company name with phone number or website noted on shirts + link to World AIDS Marathon and 5K AIDS Cancer Run Walk websites + items listed for smaller donations.

● $360: A Song for Life: same as $200 donation

● $500: Patron: same as $200 donation

● $1,000: A Star You Are: same as $200 donation and 4 post Event t-shirts

● $5,000: King of Africa: same as $200 donation and 8 post Event t-shirts

● Other: same as category of donation in next lower category, i.e., a $150 donation would be considered as a $100 donation
