Dan Holcomb Fall Service Trip for Lahash

This summer I'll be leading a team to Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda - to work with our church partners and serve the kids in the Lahash Sponsorship program. Preview

This fall I’ll be leading another ministry service trip to Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya. We’ll be serving the kids and partners at two locations, attending a university graduation, and meeting with our East African team in Nairobi.

We'll start out the journey in Kenya. We'll visit a children's home down into the Rift Valley to spend time with the kids of Nipe Tumaini Children's Home. While we are there we'll meet with the staff at the home to ensure that the partnership continues strong.

The next leg of the journey will be in Uganda. Our team will be proud to attend the university graduation of one of the young men from our sponsorship program! We'll also get to connect with the other students who are attending university or trade school.

Finally we'll wrap up in Rwanda. Lahash sponsors 75 kids in this nation and we'll get a chance to be with the children during their Saturday gathering. We'll also meet with their staff to keep our partnership strong, and we'll do some home visits with some of the kids and their caretakers.

The trip will also be focused on improving the Child Sponsorship program and encouraging the kids and our partners..

The key details about the trip are below:

  • Dates: October 19 - November 4
  • Cost: $3,500
  • Locations: Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda

Will you partner with me and the ministry by contributing to the costs of the trip? This trip will allow us to continue to maintain strong partnerships, collect new media, learn from the kids and staff, and expose new team members to the work God is doing in the region.
