"In my experience, it was less about what I wasn't told, and more about what I couldn't understand until going through it."

The Postpartum Resource Center of New York is a non-profit organization that supports families like mine.  Based in West Islip and serving all of New York State, the mission of PRCNY is to increase awareness and access to care for New York State moms, dads, and their families at risk for or experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, including postpartum depression.  PRCNY provides a number of services including a help line/texting service for families as well as a resources directory by zip code throughout the state.

May is Mental Health Awareness month!  On May 22nd, I'll be running the Sounds of Silence 5K in Memory and Celebration of Lisa Mary Reilly to raise money for the essential services that the Postpartum Resource Center of New York provides.

A special focus of this event is supporting the Lisa Mary Reilly Visioning Educational Series, which is part of Project 62™ – Building and Strengthening Perinatal Mental Wellness Parent Support Networks and Safety Nets in all sixty-two New York State counties.

I appreciate any support as I fundraise for this incredible organization! Thank you for joining me in shining a light on mental health, continuing to break this ridiculous silence & stigma and most important, giving hope <3

The Sounds of Silence, Friends of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York is a fundraising committee of the PRCNY. All proceeds contributed support the essential programs and services of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York, Inc., a 501(c)(3) IRS recognized non-profit organization. Tax ID# 11-3449880.
