I swam a lot when I was a kid and throughout high school. But then I took a 32 year hiatus until I became inspired to join my local Masters Swimming team by my son Noah joining our town team and then going on to become the captain of his high school swim team. Since then, Noah and I have done several triathlons together, but to date the longest open water swim I've ever done is 1K. So 10K is certainly going to be a challenge, but I am dedicating the next 5 months to swim as much as I can so I can complete the swimming equivalent to running a marathon. By supporting me financially in this endeavor you will be helping our deserving Veterans while giving me emotional support to push on when my arms and legs feel like they are made of lead.
Since 2017 Swim With A Mission has raised $1.2 million for Veterans through many events including this swim event. SWAM chooses worth organizations that directly service and support our Veterans. Fundraising is not required to participate in the Swim but it is highly encouraged! This is a day long festival for the whole family. Swim races are in the morning. Stay for the afternoon which will include awards presentation, military demonstrations by the Navy SEALs and the NH National Guard, K-9 Demonstrations, food, and fun for the whole family.
