2017 Tour de Force Memorial Ride

Boston to NYC to raise funds for those left behind Learn More

To My Friends and Family of Law Enforcement:

Once again I am cycling in the Tour De Force NY 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride. This charity bike ride is becoming more relevant to me each year why I participate; this will be my 6th year and the 15th year of the Tour de Force. I did respond to 9/11 World Trade Center site as a New York State Trooper (Ret.) and have a complete understanding of what happened that day and the risks that are assumed by law enforcement officers every day. This year I will ride for all those lost but I will be thinking of Trooper Brian S. Falb (#1124) who’s EOW (End of Watch) came March 13, 2017. Brian died as the result of cancer that he developed following his assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the WTC site following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks. I worked with Brian for several years and we shared similar assignments at the WTC site. This ride and its purpose have come full circle (once again) and it certainly hits home! Unfortunately, the fallout from the 9/11 attack is far from over so I continue to pedal for those who gave all. I appreciate your support of me, the Tour de Force, and the “Thin Blue Line”. All gave some – some gave all.

The Tour de Force was founded in 2002 as a memorial bicycle ride to honor the victims of 9/11. It has evolved into a four day, 275 mile ride, in which 300 law enforcement officers from across the U.S. and abroad, along with some family and friends, participate to raise funds for the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Each and every participant, support team member and staff, raise funds and put in a lot of work throughout the year to make this event a huge success.

Without the continued support from our generous supporters and their dedication to our cause, this event would not be possible. Thank you for making a special gift, that will enrich the lives of those left behind.
